Maui Facts

Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands.  Also known as the Valley Isle,  Maui has a population of 138,000 plus.  The highest summit of Maui is Haleakala, a dormant volcano at 10,023 feet.
The size of  Maui is approx. 48 miles long by 26 miles wide with an area of approx. 728 square miles.  Surrounded by 120 miles of coastline, Maui has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world as rated by popular travel magazines.  The islands of Molokai and Lanai are also a part of the County of Maui.  The average temperature (at Kahului Airport) ranges from 79.2° in summer to 71.5°  during winter.
